Every role is remote. Every hire gets a real local contract.
We are 42 people in 18 countries and we have never had an office. You work from wherever you live, employed through Ubique's own EOR, with the same payroll, benefits and leave our clients buy.
Async by default, with three hours of overlap
You will rarely be in a meeting before 13:00 UTC or after 16:00 UTC. That window is when teams sync. Everything else happens in writing: decisions in documents, questions in threads, status in the dashboard, not in a stand-up.
There is no "head office" team and no satellite team. Our CEO is in Stockholm, our Head of Payroll is in Osaka, and the last three engineering hires were in Nairobi, Porto and Medellín. Promotions and pay are decided on the same rules in every country.
You are employed in your own country, through the same Ubique entity or partner our clients use. That means a local contract in your language, local payroll, statutory benefits and leave, and a payslip that your bank and your landlord recognise.
Work from any of 40 countries we run
We hire where we already employ people. If you want to move, we handle the transfer, because moving an employee abroad is literally one of our products.
Core hours 13:00 to 16:00 UTC
That is the only fixed window. Outside it, set your own day. Night owls and early birds both do fine here.
Written culture
Every decision has a document with an owner and a date. New joiners read their way in. Nobody needs to be awake to catch up.
The same package we sell, applied to ourselves
Benefits vary by country because the law does. These are the parts that are the same everywhere.
Pay and equity
Salary bands published internally, benchmarked by country and reviewed every January. Every full-time employee gets equity, managed through the same equity plan tool we offer clients.
Leave
30 days of paid leave a year, or your statutory minimum if it is higher. Local public holidays on top. Sixteen weeks of fully paid parental leave for every parent, in every country.
Health and pension
Private health cover and a pension or retirement contribution in every country, through the partner brokers our clients use. Life and disability cover included.
Home setup
A laptop shipped to your door before day one, a £600 budget for your desk and chair, and £60 a month towards internet and coworking space.
Learning
£1,200 a year for courses, conferences and books. Four paid learning days. Internal mobility is encouraged: about a fifth of the team has changed role since joining.
One week together
The whole company meets in one place once a year. In 2025 it was Lisbon. Flights, hotel and childcare support are covered.
Four steps, three weeks, no trick questions
We publish the process so you know what to expect. Every interview is on video, in your time zone where we can manage it. You will hear back after every stage within three business days, including a no.
We do not ask for unpaid take-home projects. Where a role needs a practical exercise, it is paid and capped at four hours.
Application review
A hiring manager reads every application. No keyword filter. Expect a reply within five business days.
Intro call, 30 minutes
With the recruiter. What the role is, what you are looking for, salary band and time zone expectations, out loud and early.
Skills interview, 60 minutes
With the hiring manager and one future teammate. A real problem from the role, discussed together. Paid exercise for engineering and design roles.
Values interview and offer
With a leader from another team. Then an offer with the full employer cost breakdown, because we think you should see it too.
Ten roles open right now
All remote. The region tells you which time zones the team works in, not where you have to live.
To apply, email hello@ubiquehq.co.uk with the role in the subject line and a CV or a link to your work. No cover letter needed. Nothing that fits? Write anyway and tell us what you would do here.
