Compare countries before you decide where to hire
Put up to three countries next to each other. Employer cost, onboarding time, probation, notice periods, leave, public holidays and mandatory benefits, from the same data our payroll teams use.
No sign-up. 20 countries in the public version, 160 in the dashboard.
Pick your countries
The table updates as you change a selection. Leave the third slot empty to compare two.

Employer cost is shown as a percentage of gross salary and excludes optional benefits. Figures are indicative, for budgeting. Your contract and payslip are produced by Ubique's local team or partner for the country you pick.
Maintained by the people who run the payroll
Atlas is not scraped from the web. Every figure is entered by Ubique's local legal and payroll teams in the 40 countries we run ourselves, and by our vetted partners elsewhere. Each country has a named owner who is accountable for its accuracy.
Primary sources are the official ones: tax authority and social security rate tables, labour codes, published collective agreements where they apply across a sector, and the public-holiday calendars issued by each government. Where a rule varies by state, province or sector, we say so in the cell rather than averaging it away.
When a rate or entitlement changes mid-year, the change is logged in the dashboard with its effective date. Atlas picks it up at the next review, or sooner if the change is material.
Quarterly review
Every country is re-checked in March, June, September and December. The last review was completed in September 2026.
Annual deep review
In January, after most contribution rates and minimum wages reset, each country gets a full line-by-line check against the new official tables.

What the fields mean, and what they leave out
Employer cost
Mandatory employer-side contributions as a share of gross salary: social security, pension, health, unemployment, accident insurance. It excludes optional benefits, bonuses, equipment and the Ubique fee. Use Ubique Calculator for the full number.
Onboarding
Business days from a signed contract to the employee being registered and ready to start. Countries served through partners take longer, and we mark them as such.
Probation and notice
The statutory or customary range. Collective agreements and seniority can extend both. Notice shown is the employer's obligation, which is often longer than the employee's.
Leave and holidays
Minimum annual leave in working days, and the number of national public holidays. Regional holidays are noted where they matter.
Mandatory benefits
What the law requires the employer to provide or fund. Market-standard extras such as private health or meal allowances are listed under add-on services.
Ubique-run or partner
Whether Ubique employs through its own entity and payroll team, or through a vetted local partner. We think you should know before you sign, which is why it is in the table.
